Could it be?

Going to the store to buy pull-ups (or diapers) is expensive! I am tired of doing it. I am ready to be done with that phase of life. We have been in that phase for 6 years now... first with Emma, and then with Anna.

Anna turned 4 a week ago today. She has been unwilling to potty train. I have wondered if her lack of interest is due to her not being ready or due to her just being unwilling. I told her that when she turned 4 she would have to wear "big girl underwear". As a 3 year old, she would nod and say, "Ok". She told me she would as long as she had pink underwear. So for her birthday I bought her the pink underwear and told her she had to wear them because she was 4. She actually agreed and for a week now, she has continued to wear them. She still protests sometimes when I make her sit on the toilet, but she goes. She has had a few accidents, but not too many. I am beginning to wonder if she really wasn't just being stubborn... hmm...

Could it really be that we are out of the diaper stage? Think of all the money we can save! :-) Of course at this point we are still putting her in a pull up at night, but one a day is not bad! Hurray for Anna! Hurray for us!

SOLD!

Today is yesterday's tomorrow and I really do know something... finally! Our realtor just called and we have come to an agreement with the buyer. It is really sold. We still haven't closed yet, but now it is mostly just paperwork. The old fuel oil tank in the yard will be removed, but we will not have to absorb the total cost. Thank goodness!
Now it is time to really pack and to find a place to live while we wait for the new house to be built.
All I can really say at this point is, "Praise the Lord!"

Another house update...

We are still negotiating some details of the sale. The inspection pointed out an old fuel tank that once upon a time was used to heat the house with oil. It is buried in the front yard. We thought it was filled with sand, but recently discovered that may not be the case. We are negotiating exactly who will pay for what to have the tank emptied and removed. Fun stuff (ha!)... & not cheap stuff! Hopefully this will not be a deal breaker. The longer we're here, the more we want to move. We are continuing to pray for wisdom, patience, guidance and discernment.

We will know more tomorrow... hopefully. Seems I am always saying, "Maybe I will know more tomorrow". One day that might actually be the truth.

House Update

This is just a little FYI update...

We have accepted an offer on the house. The inspection was yesterday and the appraisal was today. We have not heard any news on either one. If all is well, then the house is sold and set to close on July 27. If there is some huge thing to fix, then the house is still ours. I am praying for peace no matter what the outcome is... Of course, I would love to have the house sold!

Our new house is set to start being built soon and we should be able to move in there in November. Where will go in the meantime? Good question. We have no idea. Know of any place we can rent? :-)
