Going to the store to buy pull-ups (or diapers) is expensive! I am tired of doing it. I am ready to be done with that phase of life. We have been in that phase for 6 years now... first with Emma, and then with Anna.
Anna turned 4 a week ago today. She has been unwilling to potty train. I have wondered if her lack of interest is due to her not being ready or due to her just being unwilling. I told her that when she turned 4 she would have to wear "big girl underwear". As a 3 year old, she would nod and say, "Ok". She told me she would as long as she had pink underwear. So for her birthday I bought her the pink underwear and told her she had to wear them because she was 4. She actually agreed and for a week now, she has continued to wear them. She still protests sometimes when I make her sit on the toilet, but she goes. She has had a few accidents, but not too many. I am beginning to wonder if she really wasn't just being stubborn... hmm...
Could it really be that we are out of the diaper stage? Think of all the money we can save! :-) Of course at this point we are still putting her in a pull up at night, but one a day is not bad! Hurray for Anna! Hurray for us!
